Living with either autistic or ADHD wiring presents its own distinct cognitive and behavioral challenges. When these two neurodevelopmental conditions co-occur, however, the result is not simply additive but synergistically complex. This reflects a principle central to neurocomplexity: the brain is not a simple sum of parts but a dynamic, interconnected system where interactions can produce novel, emergent phenomena.

This list explores seven phenomena emerging from this AuDHD combination—illustrating how autism and ADHD wiring interact to produce effects that neither condition manifests alone. Expect contradictions, unpredictability, and moments when the brain feels like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces that insist on fitting together in the most unexpected ways.
