If you’ve hung out on any of my platforms you’ve likely been introduced to my term Neurocomplexity and how it encompasses my hypothesis on the connective fascia between childhood Giftedness identification (or suspicion) )and late(r) in life burnout.

I went to the theater today (with reclining seats and all) and watched Wicked (titled onscreen as Wicked: Part I), a 2024 American musical directed by Jon Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. As I enjoyed the film and refreshments, I couldn’t help but notice that (at least) one of the main characters, Elphaba Thropp (the future Wicked Witch of the West, played by the one and only Cynthia Erivo) seems to fit into my Neurocomplex Lifespan Model throughout the production.

So, I obviously got home and entered my thoughts into the model to share with all of you and to hear your thoughts! Download my Elphaba in the Neurocomplex Lifespan Model (PDF) below and let me know what you think.

Also, should I do one for Glinda?

As always, thanks for supporting my thoughts here on Substack. Your support enables me to spend more energy and focus on getting these ideas out of my head and into the world on a larger scale. My hope for all of this work is to help you make sense of YOU in a framework that aligns with your experience. Let me know your thoughts!

For now,

Lindsey
